Jog & Dribble

The exercise is set up as above, with a suitable size circle, depending on age and how many players you have (even number of players). Each player is an equal distance apart and a football is given to every other player as shown. A cone is placed in the centre, and the coach gives out the instructions where he/she can be heard or seen. An easy pace should be performed by the players.
  1. Players jog round the circle keeping the same distance away from each other. Some players are dribbling the ball while others are jogging. On the coaches signal:
  • Players turn and jog/dribble the opposite direction.
  • The players who are dribbling the footballs stop the ball and carry on jogging, the player behind now dribbles the ball.
  • Dribbling players now overlap the one player in front of them, then carry on dribbling,
  • Dribbling players dribble to centre cone then back to original place.
  • Dribbling players stop the ball and run to centre cone and back to original place. Player behind is now dribbling the football.
