Crossing and finishing with zones

Two teams play equal sides with 2 GK.

Play on half a field with four crossing zones 15 x 15

  1. Teams play possession football.
  2. Players tries to dribble or run onto a pass in the crossing zone, and deliver a cross for team to score

Goals can only be scored from a cross, with either a 1 or 2 touch finish.

Focus on:
  • Timing of run.
  • Quality of cross, away from GK.
  • Cross to space.
  • Contact and finish
  • Movement

Variation:

  • Play free, but teams score double if goal is scored from a cross.
