9 v 9 Switching

The game is played 9 v 9 on half a football field with four 5 x 5 grids as shown above.
  1. To score, a player has to pass to either of their team mates who are standing in the grids.
  2. The player that makes the successful pass, swaps places with the target player.
  3. When the grid player receives a pass, he/she is allowed to pass back to their own team mates.
Variation:
  • Play two touch
  • Put in a free player with a different coloured bid on, who plays for whichever side has possession.

Focus on:

  • Looking to make the killer pass.
  • Movement & support.
  • Team play.
  • Patience.
  • Closing down when not in possession.
  • Keeping team shape.
