Second Tig

Mark a square 20 x 20 and make two equal teams A & B.

Team B spread out in the box. Team A stands on the end line.

On the coaches whistle:

One player runs in the box to tig as many players as possible. Once he tigs a player they go and stand at the opposite end line. After 10 seconds the coach blows his whistle and another player from team A joins in to help, after 10 seconds a third player joins in, and so on until all Team B have been tigged. See how many players it takes from team A to get team B out. Team B now tig.

Variation:

  • On the coaches whistle three players hold hands and move around as a chain, after 15 Seconds, the coach blows his whistle again and another three players go and tig the remaining players and so on. (Depending on the size of the group, depends on how many players you send in.)

  • On the coaches whistle the tigger comes out and another goes in.

Game related

You will find some of the players will dive in.

Coach them to get in quick then slow down to make that tig, like you would do when defending.

When the players hold hands they will all be shouting different instructions.

Coach them to communicate as a team and to choose the best option to tig, in a game you can help the man on the ball by offering support yourself or telling him where to pass.
