Q1. Which Major Changes do you feel have taken place in English football over the past 10 years?

Transfer values have risen, Wages have increased, the influx of foreign players, the speed of the game, rules such as the back pass and stocks and shares.

Q2. What do you think our young players should work on, to develop in the game today?

Fitness, technique, strength, speed, concentration and dedication.

Q3. Do you have a preferred playing system?

Yes, I like 4-4-2, attacking system.

Q4. Have you been influenced in your coaching career?

Yes, I work closely with Sam Allardyce, and he has influenced me greatly. I believe that partnership and team work is valuable in football. Certain players I have worked with have also helped me mature as a coach.

Q5. Has this changed your philosophy on playing the game?

Yes. When you go into depth in the game, you realise how detailed it can be.

Q6. What is your philosophy on playing the game?
Control the ball, and you'll control the score. The referee is always right, even when he's wrong. If you play to your full potential and enjoy the game, which is important, then rewards are certain to come your way. Attitude and commitment are vital.
Q7. What role does sports psychology play in your preparation?

You should always believe that you are as good, or better than your opponent. This belief can bring you a step closer to achieving your goals. Stats can be important. Good stats can give a large psychological advantage over your opponent.

Q8. Who is the most talented player you have coached and why?

Each player is talented in different ways ie; Michael Ricketts - Pace, power and strength. Eidur Gudjohnson - Touch, skill and technique. Colin Hendry - Professional attitude, vision, leader and good communicator.

Q9. Who is the funniest and why?
