Give & Go

Five players are positioned in a 10 x 10 area as shown. One football is used for the exercise.
  1. Player A starts the exercise, and passes to player B.
  2. Players B sets the ball back to player A. Player A passes the ball to player C, then moves to player B position.
  3. Player B has moved into a position to receive the ball from player C.
  4. Player C sets the ball for player B who passes to player D, and moves to player C position, and so on.
Focus on:
  • Quality of pass.
  • Timing of movement.
  • Body Shape.
  • Communication.

Variation:

  • Go opposite way.
  • Make square bigger. Players dribble the ball a few yards before passing.
