First touch -2

Four players are positioned as shown in a 15 x 10 area. Two gates, 2 yards in width are placed at one end of the grid. One football is used.
  1. Player A passes the ball to player B.
  2. Player B takes his/her first touch either to the left or right and passes to the player in the centre.
  3. The player in the centre then takes a first touch and passes the ball back to player A, and so on.
Focus on:
  • Pass
  • First touch
  • Body shape
  • Communication from players as the ball is traveling.

Variation:

  • Player A use different types of pass to player B.
  • Players change positions.
  • Make gates smaller
