Mission Statement

·      To help all members enjoy football regardless of ability, race, creed or color.

·      Have qualified staff and put together a program for youth football.

·      Help the player’s development on football skills, but also the social, physical and educational aspects.

·      Help produce a complete person that can improve the future of the club and also have a good attitude in later life.

·      To have fun whilst concentrating on doing your best.

General Statement

This manifest is put together to ensure that professionalism is carried out at the club. We have to have a structure in place, and everybody connected with the structure has to comply with the rules stated in this manifest.

The manifest will give Players, Parents and Coaches the acceptable level of standards and requirements within the organization

  Inside you will find Codes of Conduct, for players, parents and coaches. These rules must not be broken. If the rules are not adhered to, then the person or people involved will take no further part in the clubs football development.

The aim of the club is to provide young players with a program of education. Providing the best facilities, coaching, matches and healthcare, within its resources.

The football development officer is dedicated to put together a team of professional, qualified staff that shares the same goals on excellence, both on and off the field.

  A monitoring system will be set up to ensure the ongoing development of our members, and also our coaching staff.

Responsibilities

·        The quality of work carried out by the Development Officer and his staff within their respective areas.

  ·        Confirming that the clubs codes of conducts are read, understood and used by everybody concerned.

  ·        Making sure all staff are adequately qualified and have the discipline to perform their duties in a satisfactory manner.

  ·        All members can come to the club and enjoy football, without worrying about ability, color or race.

  ·        Set up mini 5-a side leagues, to cater for boys and girls, no matter what the ability level.

Player – Code of conduct

 ·        Do your best and think positive.

  ·        Don’t bend the rules.

  ·        Do not attempt to hurt anybody, mentally or physically.

  ·        Accept success and failure and learn from both experiences.

  ·        Don’t argue with coaches, referees, players or parents.

  ·        Look for the good things in your game, and work to improve the not so good.

  ·        Always be honest about your fitness, report injuries to the coach.

  ·        Don’t feign injury.

  ·        Take pride in what you are doing, always be professional.

  ·        Inform the coach if you cannot attend a training session.

  ·        Shake hands after a match, win lose or draw.

  ·        After training sessions, don’t go home on your own.

Good attitudes make the game worth playing. Bad attitudes can destroy it.

Parents – Code of conduct

 ·        Remember that striving to win is more important than winning itself.

  ·        Avoid putting the pressure on your child, about winning or losing.

  ·        Always be positive. If criticism is needed, then be constructive.

  ·        Respect the coaches decisions and the rules. Don’t argue the decisions of any officials.

  ·        Be a good role model for your child.

  ·        Encourage them to be part of a team.

  ·        If any problems arise, discuss them with the coach in an adult manner.

  ·        Let children set their own standards of excellence.

  ·        Remember to ask ‘how did you play?’ not ‘did you win?’.

  ·        Discuss and analyze your child’s performance.

  ·        Have a good pitch side manner:

1.      Stand at the opposite side of the pitch from the coaches and players.

2.     Applaud good play from both sides.

3.     Encourage your team and its players only, let the coaches run the team.

4.     Don’t argue with any of the officials or opposite supporters.

5.     Enjoy the game.

  ·        Always remember that talking to someone will help, talking about them will hinder.

Coaches – Code of conduct

 ·        Be a role model to the players.

  ·        Show a positive attitude at all times.

  ·        Accept mistakes as an important part of learning.

  ·        Analyze your own performance, as well as your players.

  ·        Treat the players like you would like to be treated.

  ·        Treat all players with the same respect, have the rules, and stick with them.

  ·        Help all players to improve, regardless of their ability.

  ·        Plan your sessions to realistic goals. The players will respond if they see you are organized.

  ·        Fill in player reports and match reports, always analyze your players.

  ·        Don’t argue decisions.

  ·        Show your commitment to your squad and be honest.

  ·        Make all players feel wanted. Remember, you are there for them, not them for you.
