| Coaches should not be embarrassed bringing in running
techniques as part of their training program. If by coaching the
techniques of running, and you can make your players that little bit
quicker, then you will have an edge on the other teams who don’t
practice the running techniques.
A soccer players speed depends on his/her running coordination, so for this reason, running coordination exercises are crucial. A player who can control their running, can perform at a higher level of soccer. It’s a matter of directing muscular impulses more precisely between the muscular and the nervous system, your muscles should be able to cope with all kinds of movement in running. It is important to remember that motivation plays a big part in your running exercises, so be inventive, and don’t put the same exercises on week in week out. Once you have added the running exercises to your training, keep them there. Given all the demands on soccer players, running exercises are crucial. |
