Pass & Running Techniques

Players are placed 10 yards apart as shown in a diamond shape, with two players in the centre.

Player X and the players behind each have a football.

  1. Player X starts the exercise by passing to player A. Player X then follows his/her pass.
  2. Player A takes a touch and passes to player B. Player A follows pass.
  3. And so on. When ball is passed to player E, he/she dribbles to start.
Focus on:
  • Weight of pass.
  • First touch
  • Communication.

Variation:

  • After pass players perform heel flicks, side steps, knee lifts etc.
  • Go opposite way.
  • Can use Goal keepers as well. Players pass on ground or in air.
