Pass and Support

In a 20 x 20 area play 3 v 3, with 6 wall players on the outside.
  1. The inside players play 2 touch, the wall players play 1 touch.
  2. This exercise is quite intense, so change players every few minutes.
Variation:
  • If the players are not coping, play free play in the middle, and two touch on the outside.
  • Split the wall players into the same teams, so it is now 6 v 6. Players can only pass to their own team mates on the outside.

  • Support, don’t pass and watch, move quickly to receive the ball
  • Communication
  • Show short and long when in possession
